Pontlands Park Wedding Photography
I was back at Pontlands Park in Essex for the wedding of Lauran and Cem. I love this venue, the staff are brilliant and the venue always looks fantastic.
Lauren and Cem’s wedding at Pontands Park was unbelievably fun to be a part of. Two families full of love for each other came together and had an absolutely brilliant wedding celebration! It was an amazing wedding that I was honoured to be a part of.

Over to Lauren and Cem for the finer details. Please do leave a comment below.
1. How did you decide on the venue you had your wedding/reception?
We were looking for a small hotel to hold our whole wedding, from night before through to the day after and fell in love with Pontalnds and the team there right from the start, It just had a great vibe. It was the first place that we viewed and used as a benchmark for the other venues we visited – and turned out to be the one!
2. Was there a theme to your wedding?
If yes what was the theme and why? We didn’t have a theme as such in the end, but did try to include lots hearts and photos (in our table numbers and thank you signs, photoboth guest book) as they are a big love of mine.
3. What was the best moment(s) of your wedding day?
I’m not sure we could pick one moment, the ceremony was a very special moment, standing in front of all of our family and friends – as well as the speeches, which were all very emotional – touching and funny all in one! I think we’d both agree that we enjoyed dancing the night away the most though 🙂
4. What style was your wedding dress? Who was it by?
My dress was a Sophia Tolli – described as a taffeta mermaid style gown with sheer beaded back bodice and chapel length train (not sure if you need that much detail!)
5. What style was your wedding cake? Who made it?
We had a traditional wedding cake style (different tears of fruit, sponge and chocolate) made by Marks & Spencers! The cake topper was commission to look like us and made by Peggie Lane
6. Were there any meanings behind any of the aspects of your wedding?
The main one that springs to mind is our wedding favours – little boxes with lazer cut hearts to carry on the heart theme with turkish delight, english fudge and sugar almonds inside. The idea was to represent the fusing of our families and cultures…the mix of turkish delight and english fudge and the almond for the traditional aspect of the wedding.
7. Did you follow any family wedding traditions?
What did you do? We were married on my mum and dad’s 33rd wedding anniversary, which could perhaps become a tradition for future generations!
9. What was the title of the song for your first dance? Why did you choose that particular song?
‘All of Me’ by John Legend. John Legend is a particular favourite of ours, Cem bought the album for me on pre order and as soon as I heard the song I knew it would be our first dance, and then we found out that he had written it for his wife on their wedding day so seemed perfect.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the wedding photos are brilliant, Jeff, you were great, you captured the day for us, I only need to look at the photos and they bring the day back as if it had just happened, so many, many happy memories.
Thank you.
Thank you Linda, I’m really pleased. It was a wonderful wedding to photograph x
