Katie and Steve’s Maidens Barn Wedding Photographs
It was going to be a glorious day to capture some stunning Wedding Photos at Maidens Barn.
I first made my way to the Radisson Hotel at Stansted Airport to photograph the bride, her bridesmaid and her parent all getting ready.
Katie was already looking gorgeous when she opened the door to her suite, and she was very excited too. With everyone soon ready, I took lots of photographs before everyone made their way to Maidens Barn, near Chelmsford.

How did you decide on Maidens Barn as your wedding venue?
We looked at several venues, and it was by far the best that we had seen and was of great value. It all seemed very professional, and we were very confident we’d be looked after by the staff.

Was there a theme for your wedding? If yes, what was the theme and why?
Not really. The theme colours were turquoise and pink as we wanted a summery feel to the wedding. Also, I wore a wreath of flowers in my hair similar to those used on the tables.

What was the best moment(s) of your wedding day?
Having the ceremony outside in such a lovely environment, the relaxed atmosphere and the fantastic weather all made it a perfect day!

What style was your wedding dress, and who was it designed by?
It was quite a simple dress with beading at the top and one strap – I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! I’ve no idea who it was by.

Were there any meanings behind any of the aspects of your wedding?
Not mainly – we chose those colours as we wanted a summery feel. Furthermore, we wanted our family to be involved. My mother did the flowers; my brother made the cake, and Steve’s sister made the Table Plan.

What cars/ transport did you choose to arrive?
I arrived in my father’s car as no one would see me anyway!

Did you follow any family wedding traditions? What do you do?
No – it was all original!

What was the title of the song for your first dance?
‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perry. We had heard this song and just loved it, and it summed up how we felt about each other.
