High House Wedding Photography
High House is a stunning wedding venue in Althorne in Essex. Set within six acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, it offers a quaint and luxurious setting.
I love providing wedding photography at High House and was really looking forward to capturing Katie and Jon’s big day.
The sun was shining bright as I arrived and made my way to see Katie and her bridal party getting ready in the bridal prep room. Naturally, there was lots of excitement, plus maybe a few nerves, as the morning went along.
Jon looked very dapper when I caught up with him and his best man and was very excited about the day ahead. We chatted about the plans for the day, after which I headed back to see the girls.
High House Wedding Venue
They have a great team at High House Weddings to ensure that everything is catered for the couple. High House is laid out really well too. After the bride is ready, she makes a short walk to the room to see the registrars, then there is a lovely pathway taking her to the thatched gazebo for the outdoor ceremony.
The Wedding Ceremony
Katie looked stunning as she walked down the aisle with her dad, and as Jon turned around to see her, you could see that he was bursting with pride. The ceremony was beautiful, including a solo guitarist gently playing in the background.
With the ceremony sealed with a kiss and the register signed, Katie and Jon invited their guests for drinks and canapés.
High House Wedding Photography
Once the group photographs were done, the couple and I took a walk to get pictures of just themselves. High House Weddings has many fantastic photo opportunities, including the bridge, the pond, beautiful gardens, the lake and much more.
After the wedding breakfast, I had the opportunity to get more photographs before the evening guests arrived. After the first dance, guests joined them on the dance floor and partied for the rest of the night.
