Maidens Barn Vintage Style 1940’s Wedding
Every couple’s wedding is unique, and I never cease to be amazed how the bride and groom pull off something so unique. This 1940’s Vintage Wedding had so much. With a modern twist, it oozed creativity and style throughout the entire day.
I met up with Billie and Chris, getting ready at the Saracens Head Hotel in Great Dunmow. Billie was in the bridal suite, along with all the bridesmaids, getting ready when I arrived. This gave me time to capture photographs of the details and to find the guys before they headed off to Maidens Barn.
As a specialist wedding photographer for Essex barn venues, I have enjoyed photographing many weddings here.
Off to the Essex Barn
It was a fun and emotional ceremony, and I loved how Billie danced their way up the aisle. Many of the guests were dressed in 1940’s style, which added to the day’s celebrations.
After the wedding breakfast, I whisked the couple away in my car to a neighbouring field. This allowed us to the advantage of the gorgeous weather and the golden-coloured crops. This is an excellent part of the wedding day as it’s the first time the couple has been alone together and the bride and groom are very relaxed.
We returned to Maidens Barn in time for the evening guests, who were arriving. It was then time to cut the cake before the happy couple had their first dance.
