Gosfield Hall Wedding Photography

There’s something deeply romantic about a spring wedding, which just about sums up Laura and Sam’s wedding day at Gosfield Hall in Essex.
However, the real stars of the day were the bride and groom, who were simply fantastic.
Laura and Sam, thank you for choosing me as your Essex Wedding Photographer; it was a pleasure to be part of your special day.

Would you please tell us a little about yourselves?
We met in Tesco Great Notley in early 2011. Laura was a checkout girl, and Sam was Non-Food Manager. We arranged our breaks to be at the same time, and it all started from there! Sam proposed in May 2016 in the beautiful Central Park in New York.
How would you describe the spirit of your day?
Our wedding day was enjoyable with our fantastic family and friends. We are both very family orientated and our wedding day would not be the same with all our family and friends there.

Was there a theme to your wedding? If yes, what was the theme, and why?
There wasn’t an actual theme for our wedding, but the colour scheme was navy and yellow.
How did you decide on the venue for your wedding day?
We originally booked another venue; we saw Gosfield Hall had an open evening, so we decided to go and have a look anyway. We immediately fell in love and so cancelled our original booking and booked with Gosfield Hall!

What were the best moments of your wedding day?
The best moments of our wedding day was marrying each other, seeing everyone enjoy their day & sharing our love with all our family and friends. We loved the evening reception as it gave us the chance to let our hair down and dance the night away!
Where did you go for your wedding dress?
Laura bought her wedding dress from Nell’amore in Halstead – we highly recommend this bridal shop; they are amazing!

What did the groom and ushers wear?
Sam and his groomsmen hired suits from Hardy’s in Halstead – once again, we also recommend this suit hire shop!
Were there any meanings behind any of the aspects of your wedding? i.e. Theme, colour, food, seating arrangements, cake, venue?
We both recently lost a Grandad, so we placed a candle on each side of the ceremony room.
What flowers did you choose for your bouquets?
The flowers were from Miss Fleur from Coggeshall. Lovely lady! We had lots of yellow flowers with a hint of blue to bring in the Navy colour scheme.
What was the title of the song for your first dance? Why did you choose that particular song?
Our first dance song was “A thousand years”; this song means a lot to us.

Where did you go for your honeymoon? What made you choose that place
We went to Mexico for our honeymoon! We heard great reviews of Mexico, and we would 100% go back tomorrow if we had the chance!
What tips would you give to other couples when planning their wedding day?
The main tip I would give to others who are getting married would be to enjoy your day, don’t worry about everyone else as it’s your day and take some time alone, just the two of you!

Kind words received from Laura and Sam
Dear Jeff,
We want to say a massive thank you for photographing our fantastic wedding day! You captured everything so perfectly, and we can see how much everyone is enjoying themselves! The photo album we have received is just perfect; we love it.
We would recommend Jeff to absolutely anyone looking for a photographer; he put us at ease from the very start.
