The Barn Brasserie Wedding Photography

Louise and Simon had chosen The Barn Brasserie in Great Tey, near Colchester, for their wedding day. It was my second wedding at The Barn Brasserie this year, and what a wonderful day it was.

I’d initially only met Simon & Louise a couple of weeks before their wedding. From that first meeting, I could tell what a fun couple they were.

I am very fortunate to photograph at so many excellent Essex barn venues. The Barn Brasserie is a stunning and very photogenic barn, a converted 16th-century barn with plenty of exposed timber beams, which adds to the personality.

I arrived a short while before Simon and his best man arrived at the venue. This gave me time to go around the venue and photograph all the finishing details.

The guests had travelled from far and wide to share in the couple’s big day. The ceremony was perfect with lots of emotion from the couple as well as all of the guests. With the “I Do’s” complete and the register signed, it was time to go outside for the drinks reception. 

 The Barn Brasserie offers plenty of photo opportunities for family and group photographs and the couple session. 

Everyone enjoyed a very delicious wedding breakfast, which was then followed by the speeches. With the cake cutting done, it was time for the first dance, where all the guests were invited to join them on the dancefloor.  As the party got into full flow, which included Simon cutting some shapes on the dance floor 🙂
