Wedding Photography The Compasses
When I first met Ruth and Tony, they told me how they met university when they joined Frisbee Club. They started dating very shortly afterwards. Fast forward a few years, and here we are on their wedding day. How cool is that?
On the way to meet up with Ruth, I quickly called in at a local hotel where Tony was with his Best Man getting ready. With a few photographs in the camera, I headed off to meet up with Ruth.
Wedding Ceremony
Ruth and her bridesmaids were all getting ready, and naturally, there was lots of excitement. Ruth looked stunning, and it was such a pleasure seeing just how proud her dad was as they got ready for the drive in the vintage VW Camper Van to the church.
All the guests arrived at the church and were patiently waiting in their seats for Ruth’s arrival. The church was decorated with matching coloured flowers to the bouquet, and the band was in place. Then Ruth and her father entered the church.
It was a beautiful service, complete with all the bridesmaids giving a personal reading, and while the couple signed the register, the band provided the background music. Everyone then headed to The Compasses Pattiswick for the wedding breakfast and reception with the family photographs taken.
Perfect Summer Wedding
The weather was just perfect, and with the neighbouring field, this was the ideal setting for their wedding style. The groomsmen looked dapper and in excellent spirits, and all the bridesmaids were great fun to work with and photograph.
I loved the personal touches they included on their wedding day, from the 12″ records used for table numbers, the wedding favours and the hand-made guest book for everyone to sign.
As expected, the speeches were hilarious (in the right places, of course) and delivered with great sentiment.
When the evening guests arrived, Ruth and Tony had their first dance.
