I have photographed hundreds of weddings and gathered the most frequently asked questions from my couples. If you have a question that isn’t below, no matter how small it might seem, then please do ask me.
When ready to book, simply confirm your names, wedding date & location and I will send over a booking form and confirm availability. You’ll also receive details for paying the £250 booking fee. Balance is not due until nearer the wedding.
Some of my clients like to meet me before the booking is made, while the rest like to chat via Skype/Facetime or on the phone to secure their date and then meet up with me closer to their wedding day. It’s up to you.
For wedding meetings, I’m usually available Sunday afternoons or evenings during the week.
Coverage from 2 hours of bride preparations to a short while after the first dance (Extra coverage can be added). All the carefully hand-edited images presented on a high-grade USB. Online viewing gallery. Highlight slideshow
Absolutely! This can include adding an album, having an engagement shoot, adding more coverage or a second photographer. In addition, prints and canvasses and also available. Simply, let me know your specific requirements.
For intimate weddings, I can provide a half-day packages for Monday to Thursday weddings throughout the year (excluding Bank Holidays). Please contact me for further details.
As I want to seamlessly blend into your day, I will dress as if I were a guest at your wedding (I’m not a t-shirt & cargo trousers photographer). If you have a specific themed wedding then please do let me know.
Absolutely! I recommend keeping the group photo list to around ten, but of course, you can have more. I work through group photos as quickly as possible, so that you don’t miss out on any of the fun of your wedding. Nearer to the date of the wedding, we will discuss the group photos that you want.
I’m very grateful that many couples choose to feed me. The majority of caterers can provide a ‘suppliers meal’ for the photographer, band etc, without the cost of a guest meal. However, it is never a requirement and the last thing I want to do is add more costs to your day so I’m happy to pop out and get lunch somewhere or bring a picnic, just let me know.
I have photographed nearly 350 weddings and have never even come close to missing a day. I’m very hardy. I eat well and keep myself fit and healthy. I also avoid extreme sports and pursuits. However, just in case of an emergency, I am a member of many photography associations and networking groups so I do have other professional photographers that I can call upon
When photographing a wedding, I like to be as unobtrusive as possible so I do generally work alone. However, if you would like a second photographer then this can be added to your package.
When photographing a wedding, I take along with me three cameras plus multiple lenses, flashguns, memory cards and batteries, just in case of any unlikely problems.
Very safe! Firstly, my cameras hold two memory cards, with one of the cards being a back-up copy. At the end of the wedding, all the cards go into a secure holder, which goes into my pocket, which does not leave the pocket until I get home.
The photographs are then uploaded to my main computer, onto a back-drive and also up to a cloud-based storage system. For good measure, the photographs are also kept on the original memory cards for the first few weeks.
Within 3 weeks! The industry standard is 6-12 weeks, but I know how keen and excited you will be to see the photographs and start showing them to all your loved ones
Every photograph is individually hand-edited to ensure that they have the best exposure, contrast, tone, etc. I avoid using ‘Instagram style’ photo filters, which will make your photographs look dated within only a few months of your wedding. Instead, your photographs will be bright, colourful and will reflect the spirit of your wedding day. If you think that you want more extensive editing, then I am happy to obtain quotes from commercial retouchers
You can expect to receive around 400 carefully edited photographs for a full-day wedding. The photographs you receive will be high-resolution, large files, ready for printing
Yes, of course! I always do things properly. This includes extensive public liability and professional indemnity insurance, plus all of my photography equipment is insured too.
Yes. In fact, many couples choose to do this. Having an album is a wonderful way to preserve the memories of your wedding day and the album also becomes your first family heirloom for you to pass onto generations to come.
I can tell you that every wedding is different, and having photographed weddings for over 12 years, I have pretty much experienced every possible situation, so you can rest assured knowing that you are in safe hands when you book me. If you have any questions at all or are unclear about anything, then please let me know and I’ll be very happy to help.
